Jeremiah 32:38-39 — They will be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me for their own good and the good of their children after them.
Tami began working in St. Paul’s church office as secretary in March 2016. She was born, baptized, and confirmed, here, at St. Paul’s in Fort. She attended St. Paul’s School (K-8) and graduated from Lakeside Lutheran High School in 1977. In 1981, she graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College with a degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, Tami served our Lord for 25 years as an elementary and early childhood teacher and helper, along with coaching girls basketball, softball and cheerleading at Pilgrim Lutheran School in Minneapolis, MN; Zion Lutheran School and Crete Lutheran Schools in Crete, IL; and Divine Peace Lutheran School in Upper Marlboro, MD. After resigning from teaching, she and her husband owned and operated a bed & breakfast (including a restaurant) for 4-1/2 years in Fort Madison, IA. Then they moved to Rockford, IL for 1-1/2 years before making their final move, hopefully, back to Fort in 2014. While in Crete, IL, she married Tim Waggoner, Chief Information Officer & Chief Technology Officer at Wis-Pak in Watertown, WI. They are blessed with three adult children: Caty, Nate & his wife Kayla, and Cari & her husband Jake. They also thoroughly enjoy being grandma & grandpa to Ruby, Ren & Winnie. Tami enjoys reading books, working various puzzles, selling apples & produce in the fall at Jaeckel Orchards, and especially loves being with her husband and three rescue dogs: Tessa, Torri & Tucker.
