Staff Bio

Ilse Peters was instrumental when the WELSSA and NCPSA accreditations were completed in 2021. She recently assumed a part-time position to oversee the Wisconsin School Choice and school policies at St. Paul’s Lutheran. She also fills in as a substitute teacher or in the office, as needed.

Ilse met her husband Rick when he was stationed in Böblingen, Germany. Their three daughters benefitted from an excellent education at St. Paul’s and Lakeside Lutheran H.S.  They value a solid academic education presented from a Biblical perspective which proves to be an immeasurable, valuable base to all children and families.

Her background focuses on business, education and foreign languages. Most recently she has taught English as a Second Language to students of all ages, Kindergarteners to adults. For two decades she volunteered to teach English to new immigrants. She loves to share foreign language related tidbits and make connections to history, geography, culture and current events. Her teaching degrees (BSE and ME) were earned at UW-Whitewater. She also worked and studied in Germany, England, France and Costa Rica.

She enjoys reading (especially her English-Spanish Bible), cooking, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
