School of Outreach–January 27th
An outreach program at church is more than just “knocking on doors” to invite or talk to people we have never met before. Although direct face-to-face communication at someone’s home is a component of outreach, a congregation needs to consider many different ways to reach people with the life-changing message we surround ourselves with on a regular and weekly basis. Some things as simple as preparing mailings to go out, making sure the church building and grounds look inviting, saying “Hi!” or “Thank you for visiting” to those who stop by, leaving church or school flyers for others to see or saying prayers for support of others are considered outreach.
Supporting projects that get the word out about our church and school is a valuable part of outreach that anyone can participate in. Sometimes just being aware of what is going on or is available to our congregation can expand the blessings of an outreach focus. That’s why our congregation hosted a “School of Outreach” back in October of 2017. We were able to consider ways to let others know why we are here at St. Paul’s. The second session of our “School of Outreach” will be taking place on January 27th from 8:30 am to 2:45pm here at church. Consider showing up and gathering information at this valuable workshop. If you have any questions, please speak to Pastor Ernest or David
Frigo, Chairman of the Board of Outreach.
